Making New Year Resolutions is something that we do throughout the year. However, it becomes a bit more difficult to keep them due to certain factors such as work, family, finances, etc. One way to make this easier is to create a list of all the things you want to accomplish for the new year and write it down on a piece of paper or a sticky note.
New year resolutions aren’t always so serious. For instance, one of my friends made a resolution to lose weight for the New Year. She didn’t say she wanted to quit her job, just that she wanted to lose a certain amount of pounds. There is also some other fun stuff that goes hand in hand with your new year’s resolutions.
One of the fun new year resolutions to make for my friend was to buy new workout clothes for the new year. In order to accomplish this, she went to the local store where she could buy whatever she wanted for a good price, but at a big discount. This resulted in her getting a couple new outfits that are great for exercising. The two of them also managed to save a lot of money during the whole process.
Another resolution idea that my friend made for her future was to save more for the future. This resulted in her having saved more than half of what she usually spends on clothing for the new year. If you’re someone who spends most of your money on clothing for the coming year, then my advice to you is to create a savings account where you deposit a certain percentage of every paycheck into it. Over time, you will be able to deposit more money into it and pay off more of your bills. The bottom line is that you will be able to live your life better in the future, so try this new resolution ideas for your New Year’s resolution.
There is also a new way of getting some new year resolutions started for many people: They just look through the magazines and newspapers for inspirational quotes about new year resolutions that they can use as inspiration. I know that my friend got a whole lot of inspiring quotes for her new year’s resolution. She got lots of “over the top” quotes that made her feel really good about herself. If you have a similar situation in your life right now, then you may want to look into getting some inspirational quote quotes and maybe some other type of personalised message for your resolution. These quotes can really help you to get over your current feelings of failure.
- Let go of grudges.
Wouldn’t it be nice to start 2021 with a clean slate? Leave hate behind. Anger is so 2020.
- Stay in touch with the people who matter.
Even a quick call, text, or email can make a world of difference.
- Try a totally new restaurant.
Go on. Be adventurous. Get that strange sushi roll or order takeout from the Indian restaurant that just opened up down the street.
- Start a new hobby.
Do new stuff. Let yourself blossom in 2021.
- Start cooking!
Bonus points if it’s something you feel like you’re not good at.
- Buy less plastic.
It’s polluting our oceans, destroying the earth, and hurting animals. Be more aware of what you’re buying.
- Send handwritten letters.
Nobody does this anymore, and it’s such a thoughtful, genuine gesture. Make somebody’s day!
- Donate clothes you never wear.
We tend to hang onto stuff “just in case.” If you haven’t worn it in a year, give someone else the chance to.
- Pay off your credit card every month.
And if something is so expensive, you think that you won’t be able to? Don’t buy it.
- Avoid people who complain a lot.
It doesn’t matter how positive a person you are. Negativity spreads, and it will impact you. And on a similar note…
Another cool way of motivating yourself for your new year’s resolutions is to get a positive thinking book. Most people don’t realise that thinking positively really can help them to achieve their goals. So try reading a new year resolution book like the New Year’s Resolution by David Norton or The Power Pause by Jack Canfield. Both books can really help you with your new year’s resolutions. Also remember that making resolutions is a lot easier if you are thinking positively about it, so make sure you do this for your New Year’s resolutions!
